The Kia Forte is currently in its third generation of evolution and is offered in five trims – FE, LXS, GT-Line, GT, GT Manual. Other than the base engine mentioned above, the 2022 Forte also offers a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine is offered for the GT and GT Manual trims. The FE, LXS, and GT-Line trims come equipped with the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). On the other hand, the GT trim gets a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission while the top-end GT Manual trim comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
