Kia is an iterative company. Sometimes they release big updates, but even when they don’t, you can still expect things to improve year-to-year and that is definitely the case with the 2020 Kia Sportage. With a slightly revised look, improved features, and even a new trim level, a lot has changed for this popular Kia model. You can try a new 2020 Kia Sportage in Akron, OH at VanDevere Kia, but before you do, you should consider learning more about its new features and options by reading below.

A new trim level is perhaps the most obvious change in going from the 2019 to 2020 model. Previously, the lineup consisted of the base LX trim, the EX trim above that, and the SX Turbo trim at the top. With only minor differences in price from 2019 to 2020, those trims are still around, but now an S trim slots in underneath the EX.
The new S trim provides a few more standard features than the base LX trim including blind spot collision warning, rear cross traffic collision warning, leatherette seating, alloy sport pedals, and more. The S trim is also where the panoramic sunroof first becomes available. This is also available on the EX and comes standard on the SX Turbo.
In comparing features from the 2019 to the 2020, one of the biggest new additions is standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Previously, those features were an extra option on the base trim but came standard on higher trims. Now, both come standard on every 2020 Kia Sportage. What’s more, previously three infotainment screen sizes were available on the Sportage with a 5-inch, 7-inch, and an 8-inch option. You don’t get any of those options for 2020 because every Sportage gets an 8-inch screen. How great is that?
Though there are a ton of standard and available features on the 2020 Sportage, more than we can even talk about on this page, there is one more that we know you are all interested in. That’s AWD, and when it comes to the Sportage, you’ll be glad to know that every trim level from the LX on up, comes with front-wheel drive standard but offers all-wheel drive as an option.
