2019 Kia Sorento vs 2019 Subaru Ascent
More and more SUVs come out every year, and with them comes new competition for Kia. It makes you wonder, do new SUVs like the Subaru Ascent have what it takes to topple the amazing Kia Sorento? That answer is no, and we will illustrate exactly why in our 2019 Kia Sorento vs 2019 Subaru Ascent comparison. We will go in-depth on features, capability, warranty, and price to see which comes out on top.
If looks were a concern for you, then take a look at our comparison image. It seems plain to us that the Ascent looks just like any other Subaru model out there. Boring, dull, and unrefined. The Sorento, on the other hand, looks poised, classy, and ready for fun. Looks aren’t the only reason to pick a Sorento though. See what we mean as we take a deep dive below.

Who makes the better three-row SUV: Kia or Subaru?
When you are looking for a new vehicle, price is probably the first thing that you will look at. In that category though, it’s not even a fair comparison. The Subaru costs over $6,000 more with its starting price. Keep in mind, these are booth three-row SUVs with room for the whole family. Why the Subaru costs so much more when they both have a similar feature set including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is beyond us.
The Sorento is available with a lot more power than the Subaru Ascent too, but it also gives you options. You can get the Sorento with a small fuel-efficient engine that provides up to 22-city and 29-highway mpg in front-wheel drive. The Sorento can also get big and bad and opt for its 3.3-liter V6 that outputs 290 horsepower. Of course, the Sorento can also be had with all-wheel drive if you want it.
To put an end to any argument that the Ascent might somehow provide a better value than the Sorento, the Sorento comes in hot with its 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that just leaves the 5 years or 60,0000 miles of powertrain coverage provided by the Ascent in the dust.
