2018 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid Specs

The new and innovative powertrain designed for the 2018 Niro Hybrid is lightweight. However, it is also formidable in strength and power. A 1.6 L GDI 4-cylinder engine is fitted with 8.9 kWh battery pack and a 60-HP electric motor.  This creates an incredibly smooth, hearty, and fuel-efficient ride. This plug-in hybrid electric vehicle MPG equivalent is rated at 105, but estimated MPG ratings put it at a more understandable 46 combined MPG fuel economy. Altogether, this gives the 2018 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid a driving range of around 560 miles!

2018 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid Build and Style

Like the powertrain, the new frame of the 2018 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid is also lightweight. This breezy build helps it to zoom and zip across the road. Based on the conventional Kia Niro design, this 2018 Hybrid goes further, using advanced high-strength steel to further lighten the Niro Hybrid without sacrificing structural integrity and safety. Along with a frame weight-reduction, the 2018 Niro Plug-In Hybrid also finds quality material replacements to reduce weight on cabin seating, bumpers, suspension, and more.

Additionally, the new 2018 Niro Hybrid comes in 3 trims levels. The changes made across each trim are not to specs, but to additional aesthetics and accessories as well as convenience, safety, and driver assistance features. This latest technology includes plenty of standard and optional features, all based on the desire to achieve eco-friendly performance.
