If you’re looking for a sedan that’s both stylish and sporty, look no further than the 2022 Kia Forte. With an elegant design, spirited performance, and advanced technologies, you’ll get the most for your money with this outstanding vehicle.
The 2022 Kia Forte is available at five trims: FE, LXS, GT-Line, GT, and GT Manual.
Depending on the trim you choose, you can paint the 2022 Forte in one of seven alluring colors. This includes Currant Red, Deep Sea Blue, and the unique Fire Orange, among others. To accent the exterior, you can choose from four differently sized wheels like the standard 15-inch steel wheels or 16-, 17-, or 18-inch alloy wheels. Standard exterior highlights include perimeter approach lighting and the projector beam headlights. However, as you move up the trims, you can get even more exciting features like a sport grille and side sills, a rear trunk lid spoiler, heated outside mirrors, and dual chrome exhaust tips. For the utmost convenience, choose the Forte GT-Line and above, which come with the Smart Trunk™ that will automatically open for you when you have your Smart Key with you.
Keeping you and your passengers safe is vital. As such, the new Kia Forte is equipped with innovative features like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors. But beyond those incredible standard features, the Forte can include even more safety systems. Add Highway Driving Assist for more convenience while cruising the roads or Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist for an extra set of eyes. When you’re in the city, features like Safe Exit Assist, Parking Distance Warning-Reverse, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning will be handy. The most advanced system is perhaps Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve that uses navigation data to adjust the Forte’s speed when going around curves.
Inside, the 2022 Forte’s cabin is updated and convenient. Enjoy the overhead sunglasses holder, dual map lights, a 4.2-inch LCD Display Instrument Cluster, and a power driver’s window with one-touch auto-down on the base trim Forte FE. Or you can upgrade to other models for even more helpful and luxurious amenities like dual-zone automatic temperature control, soft-touch door trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift, heated and ventilated front seats, a driver’s seat with power lumbar support, and GT ambient lighting. The seats in the Forte can be outfitted in woven cloth or SynTex, in colors like black, gray, or a combination with special stitching.
Right from the start, you’ll be able to stay connected while you’re on the go in the 2022 Kia Forte. The 8-inch touch-screen display seamlessly connects to standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Other standard tech includes Bluetooth®, a four-speaker audio system, a rear-camera display, and a USB/auxiliary input jack. When you choose the Forte GT-Line and above, you get access to the newly branded Kia Connect infotainment system and a 10.25-inch touch screen with voice-command navigation, SiriusXM®, and HD Radio™. You’ll also get a six-speaker audio system, but you can upgrade to the available Harman Kardon® premium system with Clari-Fi™, 320 watts, eight speakers, and an integrated subwoofer. Additional available tech features include front and rear USB charging ports as well as a wireless phone charger.
No matter which model you choose, you’ll enjoy a spirited drive when you get behind the wheel of the new Kia Forte. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that’s paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission with Sportmatic®. With this powertrain, you can expect to achieve up to 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. But for even more power, choose the GT or GT Manual, which come with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that can be paired with a seven-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT) or a six-speed manual. This engine can generate 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to fuel efficiency, the 2.0-liter can get a maximum of 41 mpg on the highway while the turbo engine can get up to 35 mpg on the highway with the DCT.[1]
