In the fall, Akron will actually pick up your leaves curbside, but you do have to follow a few simple rules. You can either rake your leaves to the curb or put them in biodegradable paper leaf bags. Do not mix in sticks or other debris. The leaf pickup is just for leaves.

If you choose a bagless option, the leaves can be raked right into the street no more than two feet from the curb the day before pickup. Do not park your vehicle on the street the day of pickup, and never park your vehicle over dry leaves as this is a major fire hazard. When available, your 2018 Akron leaf pickup schedule can be found at the link below.
